We all seek value in life, it's human nature. Whether in relationships, careers, or material possessions, we invest much of our time and energy pursuing what we deem most valuable. Yet, amidst this pursuit, we sometimes lose sight of what truly matters. This morning, during my daily Scripture reading, I was reminded of what should carry the utmost importance in our lives: "the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord."

Ever had one of those days when everything goes awry? Like, you arrive late for a crucial meeting because of an accident, then spill coffee on yourself, and nothing unfolds as planned. These moments often reveal how little control we truly have. Yet, they're also times when God unveils something profound: His strength shines brightest in our weakness.

For those of us in Christ, faith isn't just a part of life, it is the essence of life itself. This means living is trusting God's Word. Living is trusting God's Word moment by moment, day by day, and believing in His promises even when circumstances suggest otherwise. For the just (or, I should say, "for us believers in Christ"), living by faith encompasses every dimension of life, not just the big, miraculous moments, but also the small, daily issues and choices that fill our days.

Weâve all had days when our minds feel overwhelmed with a relentless stream of thoughts, worries, and distractions. It can seem endless, making peace feel almost impossible to attain. Once, some painters were asked to depict peace in any way they could imagine. While others painted serene landscapes, one artist chose to portray a violent storm with dark skies. Yet, in one small corner, he painted a bird sitting on a branch, singing amidst the chaos, unbothered and going about its business.

Friends, in a world that often feels overwhelmingly chaotic, finding rest can seem elusive. Yet, the scriptures offer a profound invitation to find rest in Christ. When God gave us Christ, He gave us rest, rest for our spirit and soul.

I once heard a story about a man who endured years of poverty, not knowing that he had a sizable inheritance from a distant relative. For a long stretch of time, this man battled addiction and mental health issues while living on the streets. The police knew about the man's problems and were genuinely concerned for his welfare. They tried several times to locate him in order to inform him about his newfound freedom from the grips of poverty.

When we praise God, we exalt His Holy Name above all fears and worries, honoring and glorifying Him for who He is. When we praise God, we acknowledge His wisdom and sovereignty, and embrace His glory and love for us through Christ.

Friends, Christ is interceding for us. The Apostle Paul tells us, "Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died, more than that, who was raised to...

Friends, today, I want to invite you to reflect on the profound truth found in Romans 8:29 (NKJV): "For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the...

Humility is often misunderstood as weakness or carelessness, but in the biblical context, it's a powerful act of trust and surrender. Thatâs literally what humility is about. When the Apostle Peter instructs us to humble ourselves, heâs inviting us to embrace Godâs love and care for us. Heâs inviting us to not lean on our own understanding, abilities and might.

Friends, to be followers of Christ is to embrace a life of self-denial. Christ Himself made this clear when He said, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself...

In Matthew 6:31-33 NKJV, Jesus speaks to the desires of our hearts and the priorities we set in life. Often, we find ourselves consumed with the pursuit of basic necessities, food, drink, clothing, much like the Gentiles. However, Jesus tells us not to worry about these things, not because they lack importance, but because there is a higher purpose to life.

The story of the Prodigal Son is one that we are all very familiar with. Growing up I used to think that the word âProdigalâ meant leaving home on a bad note and...

Friends, in a world full of chaos and uncertainty, finding true peace can seem like an elusive goal. However, as believers, we are blessed with a peace that surpasses all understanding - a peace that can only be found in our relationship with Jesus Christ. In John 14:27, Jesus assures His disciples, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." This promise of peace from our Savior is something we can hold onto in every circumstance.

Friends, as we navigate the unpredictable journey of life, I want to share with you the profound truth that has transformed my perspective, the concept of favor and grace in the midst of life's unfairness. Today, I write to you with the hope that you will see the world for what it is and embrace the unfair reality of life with the grace and favor of God.

Friends, I understand that in this life, the pursuit of contentment often feels like an elusive goal. We may believe that contentment will come when we acquire a certain status, possession, or when our circumstances align favorably. However, Paul's words in Philippians 4 remind us that contentment is a state of the heart, not a product of external conditions.

Yes, this life can be challenging at times. Often, we find ourselves entangled in a web of negative emotions, discontentment, and unrest. The world bombards us with messages of acquiring more, achieving more, and being more, often leaving our hearts heavy and our souls weary. In this age of constant comparison, it is easy to lose sight of what truly matters. But as Christians, we possess a powerful antidote to this modern malaise: gratitude.

Friends, as we embark on this new week, I want to share a personal experience with you, one that made me reflect on how often we find ourselves anxious, stressed, and feeling like we are running late in life when in reality, we are not. I hope this story will encourage you to reset your internal clock to align with Godâs time.
