Don't Give Up: Finding Strength and Perseverance in Your Faith

Do you feel like giving up on something God has told you to do, or on your Christian faith in general? Have the challenges and struggles of life left you feeling tired and discouraged? It's natural to hope that following Jesus will bring an easy and carefree life, but sometimes we face disappointments and hardships. Don't lose hope! Jesus understands what you're going through and He has given us the strength and perseverance to keep going.

Think about Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane, when He prayed to His Father and could have said, "It's too much, Father. I know it's Your will, but it's just too much." And at His arrest, Jesus had the power to call upon 12 legions of angels to defend Him, yet He chose to endure and follow through with His mission. The enemy wants nothing more than for us to give up, whether it's on our dreams, our faith, or even our values. It's easy to feel tempted to compromise or take shortcuts in order to get ahead or avoid hardship, but it's important to hold on a little longer and trust in God's promises.

Hebrews 10:39 says, "But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved." And in verse 35-36, it says, "So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised." Remember that tough times don't last forever, but tough people who persevere through them do. Be strong in your faith and keep going, because God's promises will never fail.

PRAYER: “Today, I will trust you and forever I will. You are my shield and my strength. The devil is defeated and he cannot touch my faith. I confess that nothing can take me from my place of rest because You hold me steadfast in Your favour and grace in Jesus name. Amen.”
