God wants to help you more than you want to help yourself.

Today, understand that God wants to help you more than you want to help yourself. 2 Peter 1:3 says “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.”
Our knowledge of Christ is how we receive any help His divine power has given us. This may not make any sense, but our knowledge of Christ brings faith, and faith is how we receive what grace has made available. In Hebrews 11, the writer begins by saying that, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." The NIV puts it, "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see"
The Amplified Bible puts it this way; "Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality, faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses]."
Now, let me break it down. When we talk about faith, we are speaking of being assured and confident about something you hope for, because you have an evidence of it though you can't see it. We are speaking of a basis for one's hope. We are speaking of the reason why one is certain about his or her hope for something.
This confidence and assurance one has in a hope of something is as a result of the substance, or support, or basis, or title deed, he or she has which confirms that it is for him or her. This basis is the knowledge of the truth or title deed the person has. A title deed is a legal deed or document constituting evidence of a right, especially to ownership of property.
Say, my father works all his life to acquire properties and gives me all of those properties as inheritance, a title deed is the legal evidence which proves that all those properties are mine though I didn't work for it by my effort. Just by the words of my father, they are mine. I may not have them physically on me or be walking around with them, but the title deed proves that they are mine.
Friend, in Christ Jesus, we have received an inheritance. All that are His are ours. His riches, His strength, His might, His wisdom, His life. See Ephesians 1:10-11. This is our title deed. This is our entitlement. This is our assurance. This is our evidence. This is our faith. Knowing and believing this is how we receive all God has given us in Christ Jesus.
