Finding Peace in Uncertainty: Trusting God with Your Future

Many of us put on a brave face, hiding our true feelings and fears about the future. We may have the perfect costume, worth hundreds of dollars, and a smile as broad as a man's chest, but on the inside, our pockets are dry, our pillows are soaked with tears, and our future feels uncertain and bleak.

But there is hope. God holds your future in His hands. Today is a gift, so don't waste it worrying and crying. Let God, who knows what the future holds, handle it. As David wrote in Psalm 31:14-15, "You are my God. My future is in Your hands." Like David, trust that your future is in the best hands possible by committing it to God. Step out confidently in this dark world, declaring that "You are my God. My future is in your hands."

Your future includes everything that matters to you - your life, your health, your family, your marriage, your children, your finances, your troubles, your fears, and even your place in eternity. Trust in Christ and rest in His love and care for you. He has promised to instruct and teach you, to counsel you and guide you. As Psalm 32:8 says, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you." Trust God to lead you into the great future He has planned for you.

PRAYER: “Heavenly Father, I come to you with worry and fear about the future. Help me to trust in You and Your plan for my life. Give me peace and joy, and the strength to face each day with confidence. I pray in Your holy name, Amen.
