The Warranty: Understanding God's Plan for Restoration

When I purchased a product with a two-year warranty, I had heard the term "warranty" before, but I didn't fully understand what it meant. Upon further investigation, I learned that a warranty is a promise that a product is in good condition and that the manufacturer will repair or replace it if it fails within a certain time period after purchase. This concept caught my attention because it means that the manufacturer takes responsibility for fixing the product if anything goes wrong.

This made me think about how God never intended for us to fix ourselves after we sinned. He had a plan in place from the beginning. When He said, "Let Us make man in our image, after our likeness and let them have dominion over all the earth" (Genesis 1:26), He was saying that until we are made in His image and after His likeness, the work is not complete. His word is our warranty. When we lost our identity and handed our authority over to the devil, it warranted that God had to fix us and restore us to our original state. That is why redemption, salvation, and righteousness were never our responsibility.

They have always been God's responsibility, and not even the law could achieve that. Christ was and is God's plan to fix and restore us. And He completed that work on the cross when He shouted, "IT IS FINISHED." Through Christ, we have been restored to righteousness, prosperity, good health, long life, and power. We are sons of God, created in His image and after His likeness once again.

PRAYER: “Father Lord, thank You for this day and for the wisdom of Your word. *My life is Yours. Thank you that Your word is my warranty, guaranteeing that you will fix me and restore me wholly through Christ. Help me to live confidently as your Son, in Jesus name.”*
