Overcoming Fear and Embracing Faith for a Successful Year

Think about something you would like to do this year with the confidence that you will have everything you need to succeed and that there is no chance of failure. What would that be?

For many of us, fear is the biggest obstacle standing in the way of our success and greatness. It can present itself as rejection, lack, and the desire to please others. It focuses on what we don't have rather than what we do have and tries to convince us that we are inferior.

But the apostle Paul reminds us that "God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline" (2 Timothy 1:7). It's time to let go of fear and embrace faith. God has given us victory through Christ.

As we take on new challenges and opportunities this year, let us remember that Christ is our victory. As Paul writes to the Colossians, "Whatever you do, work at it wholeheartedly as though you were doing it for the Lord and not merely for people. Because you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as your reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving" (Colossians 3:23-24). With this mindset, we can overcome fear and embrace faith for a successful year.

PRAYER: “Oh my Lord, I thank you for the victory You have given me in Christ Jesus. I acknowledge that Christ is my success, my provision, my protection and my guide. Today, I confess that I cannot fail. I cannot lack. I cannot be timid or be afraid. I walk in love, power and self-discipline in Jesus name. Amen”
