Who Sinned?

Life doesn't offer us the luxury of choosing our own challenges. Instead, challenges and hardships are chosen for us. Sometimes, sicknesses, heartbreaks, disappointment, and death are beyond our control. When we go through tough times, we often start blaming ourselves or ourselves, or even God. We might be struggling, even now, with a sickness or hardship that feels unbearable, or we might be grappling with a private issue that makes us feel alone and ashamed. But know that you are not alone.
In the Gospel of John, Jesus and His disciples encounter a man who had been blind since birth. The disciples immediately asked Jesus who was at fault for the man's condition, but Jesus corrected them, saying that it was no one's fault. Instead, the man's condition was an opportunity for God's glory to be made manifest (John 9). Similarly, we should not blame ourselves or others for our struggles but instead put our trust in Jesus. In due time, we will witness His glory in our lives.
During moments when our efforts seem to go unnoticed, when our good deeds go unrewarded, and when we feel rejected, we must continue to persevere with patience and not lose hope. We should remember that our struggles are not unique and that God is faithful. He will provide a way for us to overcome our challenges.
PRAYER: “Almighty Father, thank You for this word today. Please h*elp me not to be bitter towards people or situations but empower me to take the initiative and break the cycle of hatred, bitterness, and evil actions. Help us to transform the difficulties that come our way into opportunities for personal growth and service of others. Make a way for me when there seems to be no way, in Jesus name. Amen”*
