We Must Have Faith In God. Faith Pleases Him.

Hebrews 11:6 tells us that, "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." Meaning, faith pleases God. To have faith in God is to trust in Him and His Word. To have faith in God is to have a hope based on God's promise. Faith is trust and trust is necessary for any relationship.

Think of our human relationships. Without trust, there is no relationship at all. This is why faith pleases God. Imagine being a parent and your children not trusting you. Or, being husband or wife and your partner not trusting you. Faith pleases God. And it seems to me that God always presents us with situations that will demand our faith. Think of God bringing the Israelites to the Red Sea.

He could have parted the sea before they got there but He did. He waited until they got there. Think of Jesus and Lazarus. Jesus intentionally delayed until he died and then told the disciples in John 11:15 that, "And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, that you may believe.

Nevertheless let us go to him.” Jesus was glad he wasn't there so that the disciples will have an opportunity to build their faith. Meaning, faith is everything to God and we must have it. There is no priest, pastor, prophet, or place that can replace our faith. We must have faith in God.

PRAYER:* “Thank You, Heavenly Father, for loving me this much and for letting me know you and believe in you. I ask that you will help my unbelief and draw me deeper and closer to you. I want to know you more. I want to trust you more. Help my faith to grow in your daily in Jesus name. Amen”*
