Train Your Brain to Detect the Lies of the Devil

Train Your Brain to Detect the Lies of the Devil. In John 8:44, Jesus said this about the devil:
“There is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”
Satan’s native language is lying. He doesn’t just tell lies, he spreads them and weaponizes them to divide us and destroy us. This is why the most common and most powerful weapon in the world today is lies. Look at the media!
This is why our true internal battle is with deception and lies. The enemy isn’t just working through temptation, he’s working through misinformation, manipulation, and distortion of truth. He wants people confused about God, their identity, and about others.
From the very beginning, the devil’s strategy has been “lie to them and destroy them” - Destroy their relationship with God, and destroy their relationship with one another.
In Genesis 3, he destroyed man’s relationship with God by deceiving Eve. He said, “Did God really say…?” That same tactic worked on Cain, Satan fed him anger and jealousy until he killed his own brother (Genesis 4:6-8). He destroyed man’s relationship with each other.
Look at Judas. The Bible says “Satan entered him” (Luke 22:3), not through force, but through deception. Judas believed the lie that 30 silver coins were worth more than Jesus.
Even Jesus Himself was targeted. In Matthew 4, Satan twisted Scripture to tempt Him and destroy Him. But Jesus knew how to fight him - with the truth. And that’s exactly what we need to do.
Not every thought Is yours. Not every feeling inside of you is yours. One of Satan’s most dangerous tactics is planting lies about yourself, about others, about God in your mind and making them feel like your own thoughts. “I’m not good enough”, “My life is worthless”, “God doesn’t really love me”, “oh, I am better them”, “Yeah, that person likes you”, “they are trying to do that…they are trying to do this”. Lies! Lies! Lies!
I am not saying every thought or feeling is a lie, but the Bible teaches us that sometimes it could be the devil. The enemy whispers lies, hoping you’ll accept them as truth. But 2 Corinthians 10:5 tells us to “take every thought captive” because not every thought comes from God. In Matthew 6:25, Jesus says, "Take no thought for your life, what you shall eat…” Meaning, thoughts can be taken or not taken.
So here is my advice, know the Word of God and train your mind to reject thoughts that are not of God.
