Reset The Clock
Friends, as we embark on this new week, I want to share a personal experience with you, one that made me reflect on how often we find ourselves anxious, stressed, and feeling like we are running late in life when in reality, we are not. I hope this story will encourage you to reset your internal clock to align with God’s time.

Yesterday, daylight savings ended, and I set my alarm for 7:00 in the morning. I have two devices by my bed, an Alexa and a regular clock with a large screen. The clock is not connected to the internet, but it's what I typically rely on to check the time. When Alexa woke me up at 7:00, I turned to the clock and saw that it was 8:00. Instantly, I felt a rush of anxiety and started panicking, thinking I was late. I hurried to get ready and rushed out of the house. But then, I noticed another clock in my home that was connected to the internet, and it displayed 7:00. It dawned on me that daylight savings had ended, giving me an extra hour of sleep.
This experience taught me a valuable lesson. I had been stressing out and thinking I was running late in life because I was looking at my clock, not realizing that it was out of sync with the universal time. It made me wonder how many times we find ourselves in states of anxiety, frustration, or depression because we are looking at our own clocks rather than God's time.
The Bible reminds us in Isaiah 55:8-9: "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."
Imagine if we could reset our internal clocks to be in sync with God's time. What if we could align our lives with His will, His purpose, and His perfect timing? What if we stopped trying to make God work according to our schedules and instead, adjusted our expectations to match His divine plan?
My message to you is simple: reset your clock. Understand that God's timing is not the same as the time you see on your clock. Just as I felt at peace and realized I wasn't late once I reset my clock, you too can find peace and reassurance by aligning your life with God's timing.
I want to pray for you today. If you're struggling with the pressures of society, feelings of rejection, or the weight of life's demands, I pray that God will grant you the wisdom to reset your clock. May you learn to live in sync with His time, knowing that His ways, His thoughts, and His timing are perfect. God will bless you in His time, and I pray that you won't put unnecessary pressure on yourself.
For those battling anxiety and depression, may God's peace flood your heart this week. May you learn to be still and know that He is God, and in His time, He makes all things beautiful. You are blessed in Christ.
