Friend, break free from fear.
Take a moment and dream with me. What would you do this year if you knew - really knew - that you had everything you needed and failure wasn't even a possibility? In Christ, you have everything you need for whatever God wants you to do (See 2 Peter 1:3). Let that sink in.
You know what holds so many of us back? Fear. It shows up in different disguises - maybe it's that voice telling you you'll be rejected, or the worry about not having enough, or that constant fear of being disliked, or laughed at, or perceived wrongly. Fear is the deceiver that only shows us what's missing in our lives, but never what we already have.
But the Apostle Paul reminds us that, "God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline" (2 Timothy 1:7). Isn't it time we stopped letting fear call the shots? God's already given us everything we need for victory through Christ.
As you step into new adventures this year, remember this; you are God’s masterpiece in Christ Jesus. Paul puts it beautifully in his letter to the Ephesians: "For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." (Ephesians 2:10 NLT). With this truth in your heart, you can face anything this year brings.
