What is the Omniscience of God?

[Psalm 147:5 NKJV]
5 Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.
God knows everything.
Not "God knows a lot." Not "God is very wise."
God knows everything that can be known.
Every fact. Every detail. Every secret. Every thought. Every motive. Every outcome. Every possibility.
Nothing is hidden from Him. Nothing surprises Him. Nothing requires Him to learn, adjust, or reconsider.
Omniscience (Latin: omni = all, scientia = knowledge) means infinite, complete, perfect knowledge.
This is why Abraham could call Him "the Judge of all the earth" and trust that He would do right. Because God doesn't judge based on partial information, misunderstanding, or bias. He knows the full truth, the context, the history, the heart.
This is why Paul could write: "We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him." Because God sees the full picture, past, present, future, and weaves even painful circumstances into a pattern we cannot yet see.
This is why Jesus could tell His anxious disciples: "Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him." Prayer is not about informing God. It's about aligning ourselves with His will.
But omniscience also means this: you cannot hide.
God knows the sin you've kept secret. The thought you've never spoken. The motive you've disguised. The wound you've never named.
He knows. Fully. Completely.
And He still loves you.
That's grace.
May the grace of God through Christ be with you.
