You are stronger than you think by the power of Christ.

We all never want to have any weakness in life, even though we all have weaknesses that we need help to overcome. But having a weakness doesn’t make one less of a Christian or a weak believer. The Apostle Paul had a weakness too. Though not a sinful weakness, Paul had an infirmity (a physical/mental weakness) that he prayed several times to God to take away.

But after all the prayers, Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, Paul wrote that, “And He (Christ) said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

There are 3 key takeaways from the scripture we just read:
1. No matter the weakness we have, God gives grace that is sufficient for us.
2. God’s strength is perfected in weakness. Our weaknesses allow the power of Christ to find full expression in our lives.
3. Let’s rejoice in the Lord no matter our physical weakness, or reproach, or needs, or persecutions, or distresses because when we are weak, then we are strong by the power of God in Christ Jesus.

Paul understood that God does not always change our situations. Sometimes, maybe often, He changes us and makes us stronger in the power of His might. In Philippians 4:13, Paul then said, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

No matter how weak, incapable or helpless we feel, let’s remember the promises of the Lord to us. Isaiah 41:10 says, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

He gives strength to the weak and weary, soundness to the troubled mind, life to dead aspirations, provision for visions, and power to the faint. (Confirm; Isaiah 40:29)
