Embracing His Love and Grace Despite Your Past

The Psalmist declares that God intricately wove us in our mother's womb, implying that before we were even conceived, God had considered every factor that would influence our lives. This includes the course of world events, decisions made by political leaders, and even the smallest details, such as the number of hairs on our head. God knows us intimately, including our good deeds and our mistakes.

Dr. Robert Jeffress explains that God's plan encompasses not only circumstances beyond our control but also those we believe we can manage. Even the steps we take are directed by God, according to Proverbs 20:24.

After reading Psalm 139, it is difficult to argue that our birth was an accident. Even when others' moral failures are involved, God can still use them to fulfill His plan. Therefore, we should not be surprised that He can also use our mistakes to accomplish His purpose. Our past, mistakes, and shame cannot impede the tender mercies of Jesus. As evidenced by the lives of Moses, David, Jacob, Rahab, and others, God can use anyone to fulfill His plan, regardless of their past.

We must stop doubting our potential and reject shame. Instead, we should have faith in God's love and rest in His grace, allowing Him to guide us through life with righteousness, joy, love, health, and prosperity.

PRAYER: “You know me, Precious Father. You know my past, yet You don’t condemn me. You know my future, and yes, You have secured it for me in You. Today, I confess that fear and worry shall not bring me to a place of unrest. In my fear, help me to trust You. In my anxiety, give me the strength to pray, in Jesus name. Amen”
