God is our Father - III

Have you ever observed your parents boasting about your achievements or defending you against doubters? If so, you can understand how your heavenly Father feels. God demonstrated a similar pride in Job's steadfast faith, even in the face of great suffering. When Satan suggested that Job's loyalty was only due to God's protection and blessings, God allowed him to test Job's faith within certain limitations. This was to expose Satan's lies and prove that people can love and serve God for who He is, rather than just for what they get from Him.

However, the devil still tries to undermine our faith by attacking our thoughts, relationships, and everything else that pertains to God. Nevertheless, God promises to lift up a standard against the enemy and protect us.

As Paul wrote, we may be troubled but not crushed, perplexed but not hopeless, persecuted but not abandoned, and struck down but not destroyed. Our heavenly Father will never give us more than we can bear, and He is always our refuge when life is overwhelming. So when you face trials, remember to lift your eyes and call on God, who is already proud of your faith and righteousness.

PRAYER: “You are my Father and You know what I am going through today. You are my Father; therefore, I will not worry about anything because heaven and earth belong to You. You will not permit any evil to come near me because You watch over me with a jealous eye. You love me and today, I will rest in Your love, in Jesus name. Amen”
