The Lord is Our Shepherd - III

As the Psalmist proclaimed, "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows" (Psalm 23:4-5).

In today's world, there are countless challenges that threaten to overwhelm us and lead us towards death. Sickness, poverty, and environmental degradation constantly threaten our well-being. Life can feel like a fragile leaf, easily blown away by the winds of adversity. However, like David, we can face these shadows without fear, because the Lord is our Shepherd. He leads us along the right path and takes care of our every need. Even in the midst of our enemies, He provides for us, anoints us with oil, and makes our cup overflow.

No matter what challenges you may be facing, know that the Lord is with you as your Shepherd. He will guide you, protect you, provide for you, comfort you, and fight for you. Rest in His loving care, and do not be afraid, for He is always with you.

PRAYER: “Your word is my light and my salvation, Oh Sweet Shepherd. In this world of evil and death, I fear nothing. In a world filled with darkness, I dread no evil because You are indeed my light. Thank You for this day and thank You for the gift of salvation, in Jesus name. Amen”
