God is with us. We will fear no evil.

"Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my [brimming] cup runs over.", the Psalmist said. (Psalm 23:4-5)
David knew that surely in this world, are many problems that seek to take men into death. Chronic diseases, hunger, poverty, and the like seem to grapple with the life and joy of many folks every passing minute. Our waters are polluted, our foodstuffs are sprayed with deadly chemicals, our roads are death traps, and even schools and streets are not safe.
Life is almost becoming like a leaf that is blown away by a little wind of death. It is in the course of these perils that David says, “Though I walk through such shadows, I will fear no evil.” Why? Because the Lord is with him as a Shepherd. The shepherd knows the right path to walk him by. The shepherd takes care of his fears.
The shepherd comforts him and protects him whether he walks or sleeps. Even in the shadow of hunger and thirst, in the shadow of economic crisis and financial challenges, the Shepherd sets a table before him while his enemies watch. Not only that, the Shepherd robs him with oil and makes his cup run over for others to benefit. Such a good Shepherd.
It doesn’t matter the situation you find yourself right now, no matter what the enemy brings against you, the Lord is your Shepherd to lead you, protect you, provide for you, comfort you and fight for you.
