Be very conscious of how you use your time, energy and money. Invest them wisely. You won't always have all the three in life.

Everything you want to achieve is going to require time, energy and/or money. You will have only 24 hours everyday. Unfortunately, you wouldn’t have 24 hours of energy. With every passing time, you either spend, waste or save energy. If you don’t learn to use your time, energy and money wisely and on the right things, you will achieve nothing this year.

It’s often said that manage your energy, not your time. I agree. Time is finite but energy can be saved and even renewed. How can you optimize these three (3) resources?

  1. Plan how you will use your time, energy and money:
Stephen R. Covey says, “Make time for planning: Wars are won in the general’s tent.” The fact is, if you don’t plan your time and determine what you will use your time for, time will always meet you trying to figure out what to do with it or not sure what to do with it and it will pass away. Use planners, to-do-list, productivity apps, etc. to plan your months, weeks and days, set priorities, match your daily actions against your plans and review/evaluate your actions and results or shortfalls. It will give you something important to focus your energy on.
  1. Focus your energy on what adds value to you or brings you value:
To focus is to channel your energy on one thing at a time. Picture how energy from the sun can focused at one point to start a fire. Channel your physical energy, mental energy, spiritual energy on what truly matters.
  1. Be a doer:
Go beyond thinking, talking and planning, and be a doer. Don’t just know what’s right to do, really do the right thing. Don’t just have plans, take actions. Walk the talk! Commit all your energy, time and money into getting results.
  1. Put value on your time and energy:
Be more aware of what’s really worth your time and energy. Give your energy to people who value your time and the things that rewards your energy. Money is a measure of value. When people pay for what you do, they measure how much they value it and give money in exchange for it. But not all things of value have direct monitory value. Like spending quality time with family and friends, engaging in activities to advance the Kingdom of God on earth, volunteering to a social course and the like.

Use your time, energy and money wisely and have a victorious life.
