What is the Omnipotence of God?

[Jeremiah 32:17 NKJV]

17 "Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You."

Jeremiah was sitting in prison when he prayed this.

Jerusalem was under siege. Babylon's army surrounded the city. Starvation was setting in. Defeat was inevitable. Jeremiah had been thrown in jail for prophesying the fall of the city.

And in that moment, surrounded by walls, surrounded by enemies, surrounded by despair, God told Jeremiah to do something absurd: buy a field.

"Your cousin is coming to sell you land. Buy it."

Why buy land in a country about to be conquered? Why invest in real estate when the invading army is literally at the gates?

Because God sees beyond the siege. Beyond the exile. To the day when His people would return and rebuild.

So Jeremiah bought the field. And then he prayed: "There is nothing too hard for You."Omnipotence means all-powerful. Unlimited ability. No barriers. No limits.

God spoke the universe into existence. He parted seas. He brought down walls with a shout. He raised the dead.

And He can do the thing you think is impossible.

The marriage you think is beyond saving. The addiction you think is too strong. The situation you think has no way out. The dream you think died too long ago.

"There is nothing too hard for You."

Not "there are some things that are hard for You." Not "You need help from us to pull this off."

Nothing. Is. Too. Hard.

What have you stopped praying for because you've decided it's impossible?

May the grace of God through Christ be with you.
