The Lord is our Shepherd IV

Some people see the Christian life as a blissful existence without any problems or hardships, while others view it as a constant battle. David, on the other hand, had a different perspective. He believed that the Lord was his shepherd who would always guide, protect, and provide for him. He found comfort in knowing that God was with him through every situation, whether good or bad.

David's experience taught him that even in his darkest moments, he could trust in God's provision and healing power. When he faced financial difficulties, he knew that Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, would come through for him. When he was ill, he relied on Jehovah Rapha, the great physician, to heal him. And when he sinned, he sought the mercy of EL Rachum, the merciful God.

For David, the Lord was not just a distant God but a personal shepherd who cared for him intimately. He found peace and comfort in knowing that he was always under God's care and protection. His testimony encourages us to trust in God's goodness and mercy, knowing that He is always with us, no matter what we face. We too can declare with confidence that the Lord is our shepherd, and His goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives.

PRAYER: “My provision and my protection, my shield and my light, my righteousness and my salvation, who doesn’t count my sins against because You became sin for me, so I will receive all You are. Oh, Precious Father, You are my Lord and my Shepherd, and I will trust You and rest in your care today and forever, in Jesus name.”
